Fallopian Disco Force – Black Larvenroller 12” LP:

well jangle my guts backwards! – its a special advent occurrence!

rare is the day that the sensation is on this scale, & that the “No-Skool-Noyzcore” articulate is summoned from it’s slumber. perhaps every three years, some individual or collective will manage the challenge & contribute a new strain of mutation to this seldom trodden badland.

I feel the irregularity is upon us again with the discovery of the Black Lavernroller LP from the obscure Fallopian Disco Force, a three, occasionally four piece, ultra-analog junkyard “psychedelic disco mashup“ outfit from Japan featuring one fugitive gaikokujin.

what’s the big deal? quite a lot actually.

so in this incarnation, its live drums (Moro), HS Love Hennessy on noise & electronics, & DJ Memai on turntables, thus an unconventional & abstruse instrumentation from the git’.

subject (I think) to post live session abnormalities & adjustments, you have a kind of hyper-novel “junk medicine” that comprises a kind of noisecore & mishandled psychedelia with trashy & analog electronics & noise, & the rougher & rawer spectrum of Glitch & some of the noisier & more garbage prone IDM recordings that fed on the sepsis of the very early & more experimental specimens of the Breakcore halcyon around the millennium mark.

cool. unexpected, & entirely out of the ordinary.

Fallopian Disco Force – live – somewhere!!

such exotic oddity would be acclaim enough, but its even better, because it actually really works … uh, “holistically” beyond the ostentatious credibility & kudos for being so fucking off-the-wall in its construct & groundings.

this is dope shit! highly varied, multiphonic, dynamic in approach, unpredictable & gloriously scrambled & cambered with heavily idiosyncratic character & verve.

although distorted, fx-riddled & chaotic, it does not really escalate into “harsh” territory (although it frequently rides very close), which allows for greater intricacy & necessitates a need for more dynamism (which the group gleefully engineer & execute).

There is not blastbeats but bombast, big thick-hewn beats & grooves, mostly subsiding under huge-distortion.

FDF will also use rhythms & loops, but are not at all adverse to destroying, deforming & harrying them as they go.

it’s really quite sublime.

should go down an effin’ treat with folks into weird, exotic, freakoid & distinguished recordings that lean heavily towards the brackish swill of noise, distortion, psychedelia & scrap, but I think this will also be highly appreciated & appealing to much of the noisecore crowd. although the blast, harshness & staple regalia of noisecore are absent with FDF, interrelated appendage & equally appeasing mass-mangling are amok in absolute spades.

whatever the preference, this is a seriously, seriously wonderful record from an extremely out-there & screwball group.

the ardent analog puritanism sustains a welcome & solidly organic aesthetic, which resides perfectly alongside the raw “live to 4-track” recording theme.
